Every Heartbeat and Breath is One Closer to the Last

I know this is a topic no one wants to talk about, but unfortunately it is something all of us will have in common. One day we will take our last breath and are heart will have its last beat. What should matter in life is the time in the in-between stages, one of my favorite poems "The Dash" displays the true meaning of life. What the dash represents is your life and what impact it had while you were here on earth. This year has been a difficult one watching so many others going thru horrific illnesses, and having to say goodbye to others. This year has reminded me to continue to live because none of us know when our end is. Today on Facebook I saw a posting that went something like this - "You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you." So I challenge you - can you do something of that magnitude - do you feel you already have? I know I have a lot of catching up to do to make my dash one I would be proud of - how about you.
